GENERAL TRADE SALES AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER



 



Our client is a manufacturer of fast-moving consumer products in the hygiene category.



We intend to recruit a qualified and experienced General Trade sales and distribution Manager.



The main function of the job is to drive sales of the company’s products through the General trade.  This requires working with the distributors and wholesalers in order to ensure that the products reach the consumers through the traditional retailers.



The work involves developing and implementing the General trade sales and distribution plans, execution of the same, building and leading the general trade sales team.



The suitable candidate must have the following:



        I.            Extensive experience in a similar position,



      II.            Good rapport with distributors and wholesalers across the country.



    III.            A good leader, a team player and ability to achieve results through a team.



Key accountabilities:



Growth



·  To achieve sales target set out for the assigned territory, which include sales volume, Gross Margin, distribution expansion as well as collection target.



·  To support customer business by growing sales volume through trade support and tactical activities whenever necessary.



·  Responsible for achieving the Volume and Value targets for Castrol within the arena.



·  Plan and execute a journey plan that maximizes sales and the best use of the in-call time.



·  Responsible for identifying, activating new accounts, Castrol Auto Service expansion within the territory through superior prospect management.



·  Responsible for implementing all Sales, Trade Marketing and Marketing initiatives. These include the reporting back of successes and suggestions for improvements. This must be done in advance of launch date, thus allowing for WC (World Class) implementation.



·  Price monitoring & market intelligence to identify opportunity or risk for the channel

·  Full compliance to all HSSE and Ethical standards and policies of BP. The role is responsible for conducting business in an ethical manner.



·  Operate and comply with the company’s Business Ethical conduct and Health, Safety, Security and Environment Policies.



 



Essential Education:



A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent.



Essential experience and job requirements:




  • More than 5 years distributor management

  • Experience of handling a large geography with a complex business environment is a must

  • Should have a well-rounded business experience to be able to implement cross functional plans

  • Key Account Management and building relationships with large customers is essential

  • Experience of dealing with multiple important stakeholders both within and outside the organization is essential for success in this role



 Self -motivated, team player and able to work independently and have good business acumen

  • Good organizational skills, resourceful and able to work under pressure
