Sacco Manager

Job Summary



Reporting to the Board of directors, the Sacco Manager shall be responsible for the day-today running of the Society operations. Specific duties shall include;



Job Responsibilities



 · New system implementation



· Safeguarding Sacco assets both tangible and intangible



 · Co-ordination of the Society activities to ensure optimum and efficient utilization of all Society assets and resources.



· The implementation of and adherence to the policies, procedures and standards



· Management of the daily affairs of the society in a competent manner



· Manage the Society’s budget ensuring spending is in line with overall budget



· Monitor key performance areas and ensure all targets are met



· Review and implement regulations, internal systems, structures, procedures and controls to improve the quality of service



· Implementation of the Society’s Strategic plan, policies and business plans



 · Manage the credit portfolio and provide reports to the Board of directors. · Attend all board of Directors meetings



· Represent the Society in forums, business transactions and any other transaction authorized by the Board of Directors;



 · Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements & relevant bodies.



 · Timely preparation and presentation of various progress reports to board of directors



· Any other lawful duty that may be assigned by the Board of Directors.



 



Qualifications for the Sacco Manager Job




  • Bachelor of Commerce or any business-related degree from a recognized university

  • Certified Public Accountant of Kenya

  • A member of a professional organization preferably Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

  • 5 years  and above work experience at a managerial  level in a busy working environment and preferably in the Co-operative Sector.

  • Computer literate and conversant with SACCOs’ Accounting software systems.
